How much does coffee machine repair cost?
We have a minimum repair charge of $132.25 inc GST. Parts and additional labour are charged on top if required. We do our best to keep you in the loop of the costs of your repair, however please note that we will often need to install or replace parts and re-test your machine first to ensure the fault is properly remedied.
Repair costs vary depending on the fault, brand, and parts required. We provide an assessment and rough estimate of costs before proceeding with major repairs whenever possible.
What if my machine can't be fixed or becomes uneconomical to repair?
We do our best to repair your machine where possible, however in the event that your machine is either unable to be fixed or the cost required makes it uneconomical, then you'll be charged an $80 inspection fee instead of repair costs. This is to cover the technician's time assessing, diagnosing and advising you.
How long does a coffee machine repair take?
Most repairs are completed within a few business days, depending on parts availability and the complexity of the issue. We generally aim for around 2-3 days, however as we also receive warranty machines from around the country and attend unexpected off-site commercial breakdown repairs, it can be difficult to estimate turnaround timeframes. We also have a mandatory 24 hour bench testing period after all repairs to ensure complete machine operation. Unfortunately due to these and other factors outside of our control, we are unable to provide a same-day service.
We understand it's difficult living without your coffee machine for a while, so we do our absolute best to get your machine ready for you to collect as quickly as possible.
Do you come to me to fix my home coffee machine?
Home coffee machines are repaired and serviced in our Petone workshop, so you'll need to bring or courier your machine in to us. This includes domestic machines used in offices or businesses (eg. Breville, De'Longhi, Rocket, etc). If your machine is plumbed in, then we can send a technician to attend on-site, however a travel fee will apply.
If you are unable to get your machine in to us, please feel free to get in touch we may be able to assist with collection and drop off/return courier.
Do I need to book in, or can I just show up?
We recommend booking your machine in to make the drop off process quicker, however you're welcome to pop in and drop off whenever suits you and we can book you in at reception. Please note that booking your machine in does not mean your machine will be assessed straight away; the 2-3 day turnaround time will still apply, however we'll get your machine ready for you to collect as quickly as we can!
Is it worth repairing my coffee machine?
In many cases, yes. Professional coffee machines and premium home espresso machines are often worth repairing, especially when compared to the cost of replacement.
Do you offer coffee machine servicing and maintenance?
Yes. Regular servicing helps extend the life of your machine, improve coffee quality, and prevent costly breakdowns. You can find our general servicing costs here.
How often should I service my coffee machine?
For most home machines, we recommend servicing every 12 months. Machines used heavily may benefit from more frequent maintenance.
